The Lore

Deep in the remote Highlands, beyond the reach of maps and memory, stands a ruin older than any written record: the Black Bothy. Whispers claim it was never built, only revealed, emerging from the earth like a wound when called.

The hill it rests upon was once the site of offerings. Stones, blood, fire. Gifts to something watching. Legends speak of An Dàrna Fhianais The Second Witness, who sees through time and soul, bound to the glen by pact or curse.

Symbols etched into the bothy’s walls shift when unobserved. Some believe they are warnings. Others, invitations. No one who stays within the bothy emerges unchanged. The land remembers.

“There was a path here once. But it only shows itself to those who’ve already walked it.”

The Map
